Services for Adults with Aging Parents or Relatives
Whether you live out-of-state or in town but can’t get over as often as you like, it can be frustrating and worrisome not knowing how your loved ones are doing. Especially if they are the types to say everything is going great even when it’s not. That’s where Rose Hill comes in. We can check on your parent(s), take care of anything that needs to be done at the house (shovel the sidewalk, take out the trash, do the dishes, etc.), check in with them and visit for a bit, then send you an update and some photos. You pick the schedule - an hour or two each week or every other week might be perfect.
After a few visits we can adjust as needed, adding more time or less depending on their needs. And if their needs turn out to be greater than anticipated we can help coordinate additional services. A MnCHOICES Assessment is a great place to start to gauge the needs of someone who may be declining. As a retired police Elder Abuse Investigator, I have met with a lot of vulnerable people, been in a lot of homes, and conducted many visits jointly with Adult Protection. I can give you an accurate assessment of the situation and help you plan next steps, if they are necessary.
We can meet over zoom or in person to discuss your needs and see if the fit is right. Our goal is to keep your loved ones safe and independent while giving you peace of mind.
